Bitcoin trades at eighty-three thousand two hundred sixty-seven dollars as a dormant whale wallet that sat through the March 2020 crash finally moves, and South Korea's regulatory enforcement accelerates. We cover how a wallet holding over four thousand five hundred Bitcoin worth three hundred seventy-eight million dollars made its first significant move since receiving coins days before the pandemic crash, what this means for potential selling pressure, and how South Korea just blocked twenty-seven unregistered crypto exchanges including major platforms KuCoin, BitMart, and MEXC. Plus, we examine the dramatic liquidation event that saw eight hundred three million in leveraged positions wiped out as Asian chip stocks crashed, and why the UK government is moving closer to keeping five billion dollars in seized Bitcoin after a crucial court ruling. You're tuned into DJ Satoshi's Signal, your trusted provider of Bitcoin beats and breaking news! Let's get your morning started right! Good morning Bitcoin believers! DJ Satoshi here with your October thirteenth briefing. Bitcoin is trading at eighty-three thousand two hundred sixty-seven dollars this Monday morning after a volatile twenty-four hours that saw prices whipsaw between eighty-one thousand and eighty-four thousand. The market is testing key support levels ahead of Wednesday's critical inflation data. Let's start with the biggest whale story of the day. A long-dormant Bitcoin wallet just moved approximately three hundred seventy-eight million dollars worth of BTC. This wallet received forty-five hundred eighty-two Bitcoin on March third, 2020, just days before the COVID-19 pandemic crash. At the time, those coins were worth about forty-one million dollars. This holder sat through that crash, the recovery, and multiple bull and bear cycles for over four years. Now, with those same Bitcoin worth three hundred seventy-eight million dollars, representing roughly a ninefold appreciation, the wallet has finally split the holdings across five addresses. Four addresses received exactly one thousand BTC each, and the fifth got approximately five hundred eighty-two Bitcoin. Blockchain analysts interpret transfers from long-dormant whale wallets as potential selling signals. Now here's the regulatory hammer coming down. South Korea's Financial Intelligence Unit just blocked twenty-seven unregistered cryptocurrency exchanges, including major platforms KuCoin, BitMart, and MEXC. This extends the country's regulatory crackdown beyond the mobile app restrictions they implemented back in April 2025. Regulators can now seek website blocks immediately upon detecting unregistered activity without requiring court rulings. Only twenty-eight virtual asset service providers are currently registered in South Korea. Meanwhile, Bitcoin just lived through a major liquidation flush. Approximately eight hundred three million dollars in leveraged cryptocurrency positions were liquidated over twenty-four hours, with eighty-six percent being bullish bets. This was triggered by a sharp market downturn where Bitcoin briefly dipped below eighty-one thousand dollars. About five hundred ninety-five million dollars was wiped out in just the final twelve hours. Bitcoin liquidations led at one hundred eighty-one million dollars, followed by Ethereum at one hundred seventy-eight million. The market then reversed: of the seventy-four million dollars liquidated in the subsequent four hours, seventy-nine percent came from short positions as Bitcoin climbed back above eighty-three thousand dollars. On the institutional custody front, Standard Chartered's Dubai branch now offers regulated institutional custody for Ripple's RLUSD stablecoin on the XRP Ledger. And finally, the UK government is moving closer to keeping five billion dollars in seized Bitcoin. A London High Court ruled that Chinese law should govern victims' claims to sixty-one thousand Bitcoin seized from convicted fraudster Zhimin Qian. This ruling significantly improves the UK government's chances of retaining the cryptocurrency following a massive Ponzi scheme that defrauded Chinese investors between 2014 and 2017. Market sentiment has shifted with the Crypto Fear and Greed Index falling to fifty-six, classified as neutral. Thanks for tuning in to Satoshi's Signal! Stay sharp, stack those Sats, and Hodl your keys!
