Welcome to Chain Reaction, by Capital Copilot, your daily dose of the latest in cryptocurrency news, market insights, and blockchain trends. Let's get started! Bitcoin is holding just under eighty thousand dollars as the Federal Reserve's decision arrives Wednesday, while Ripple finally secures its long-awaited national trust bank charter and analysts split hard on where price goes next. Let's start with price action. Bitcoin trades near seventy-nine thousand eight hundred dollars, after slipping below that key eighty-thousand level overnight. Solana sits right around one hundred dollars, a psychological line traders are watching closely after on-chain data showed over four hundred eighty thousand SOL, worth roughly forty-nine million dollars, moved by large wallets toward exchanges in recent days. But the bigger headline today is regulatory. Ripple has received final approval from the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency to launch Ripple National Trust Bank, capping a process that began back in July of twenty twenty-five. CEO Brad Garlinghouse called it proof that, quote, crypto and banks work better together, end quote, while Chief Legal Officer Stuart Alderoty described the strategy as building within the regulatory perimeter, not around it. The bank will manage reserves backing RLUSD, Ripple's stablecoin now near two point six billion dollars in market value, with BNY continuing as primary custodian. XRP ticked up about half a percent to one dollar and twenty-nine cents on the news. Therefore, the bull-versus-bear debate is intensifying. Galaxy Digital's Alex Thorn argues the bear market ended back in June and that Bitcoin has entered an accumulation phase, pointing to five straight weekly closes above the fifty-week moving average and eighty-seven thousand Bitcoin added to spot ETFs since the June bottom. But investor Jason Calacanis countered publicly, predicting Bitcoin falls to fifty-seven thousand dollars within a year, arguing it's, quote, lost the crowd, end quote, as he rotates toward artificial intelligence and the Bittensor token TAO instead. Meanwhile, derivatives traders are placing real money on a rebound. A sixty-eight-million-dollar options position on the Derive exchange targets ninety thousand dollars for Bitcoin by November sixth, right after the midterm elections. On the technical side, Ethereum developers closed out a critical bug in the upcoming Glamsterdam upgrade just this morning, a flaw that could have let a malicious builder seize validator deposits outright. And Solana's Firedancer team now requires researchers to burn one SOL per bug report after AI-generated spam overwhelmed their review process during a recent audit contest. Finally, CoinDCX confirmed its sixteen-million-dollar loss from a failed wallet-sweeping process, drawing uncomfortable comparisons to the executive reassurances that preceded FTX and Celsius before their collapses. And on that note, remember this: how many rungs are you actually climbing versus how many are you just standing on and calling it progress? That's a wrap for today's edition of Chain Reaction by Capital Copilot. We hope you're feeling more informed and ready to navigate the cryptoverse. Until next time, keep your digital wallets ready!
