Welcome to Chain Reaction, by Capital Copilot, your daily dose of the latest in cryptocurrency news, market insights, and blockchain trends. Let's get started! A long-dormant Bitcoin whale moves three hundred seventy-eight million dollars after sitting through the 2020 crash, the Financial Stability Board warns the stablecoin market faces systemic run risks, and Evernorth hits Nasdaq holding four hundred seventy-three million XRP worth far less than it paid. Bitcoin trades at eighty-three thousand two hundred thirty-eight dollars this morning. Ethereum sits at two thousand four hundred ninety-five dollars and seventy-two cents. Solana holds at one hundred six dollars and forty-two cents. XRP trades at one dollar and thirty-six cents. Cardano sits at twenty-three point three cents. A Bitcoin wallet that sat dormant through the COVID-19 crash moved four thousand five hundred eighty-two BTC worth approximately three hundred seventy-eight million dollars on Monday. The wallet originally received these coins on March third, 2020, days before the pandemic crash sent Bitcoin below four thousand dollars. At receipt, the holdings were worth approximately forty point eight million dollars. By Monday, the same Bitcoin had appreciated roughly ninefold. The wallet transferred the coins to five addresses. Transfers from long-dormant whale wallets often signal potential selling and frequently precede market corrections. The Financial Stability Board warned that the three hundred billion dollar stablecoin market faces significant redemption crisis risks even when fully backed. The issue stems from cross-border liquidity mismatches when stablecoins issued through affiliated entities in different countries cannot quickly transfer reserves between jurisdictions during market stress. When redemption demand concentrates in one jurisdiction while reserves remain in another, delays in moving reserves across borders could trigger depegging events and forced asset liquidations. Evernorth began trading on Nasdaq under ticker XRPN on October twelfth following its merger with SPAC Armada Acquisition Corp. The company holds approximately four hundred seventy-three million XRP and three hundred million dollars in gross cash. However, at the one dollar and forty-three cents XRP reference price used at closing, Evernorth's crypto treasury is valued at roughly six hundred seventy-seven million dollars, significantly lower than the one billion dollars initially raised when announced at two dollars and thirty-seven cents per XRP. This represents a forty percent decline in token value. Approximately eighty point three percent of Armada's public shareholders redeemed their shares. This limited float caused extreme volatility, with XRPN reaching fifty-three dollars intraday October second but closing at sixteen dollars and sixty-four cents by midday Monday. South Korea's Supreme Court finalized new rules allowing courts to freeze, seize, and sell Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies to recover unpaid civil debts. The regulations take effect November first. The UK High Court ruled that Chinese law should govern victims' claims to sixty-one thousand Bitcoin worth approximately five billion dollars seized from convicted fraudster Zhimin Qian. This ruling significantly improves the UK government's chances of retaining the seized cryptocurrency. That's a wrap for today's edition of Chain Reaction by Capital Copilot.
